Description

The Conant papers relate to the Lyndon Hall estate in Rutland. This deposit consists of deeds, estate papers, including accounts,terriers, surveys and plans, and a series of personal papers including probate material and appointment to local offices. The deeds chart the descent of the manor through the Barker family to the Conants, who inherited the property through the Rev. Edward Brown, who bought the estate from Samuel Barker's daughters.
