The Lodge of Fortitude was named and established in 1779 and met at the Bell Inn, Week Street, Maidstone, Kent. In 1805 the lodge moved to the Haunch of Venison Inn, High Street, High Street, Maidstone and the meetings remained there until the lodge was erased in 1808.
