Recital of mortgage of 25 December 1793
(S.R.O.1267/14) and assignment 24 August 1795

Richard Cooper by will 8 October 1798 gave the residue of his personal estate to James Corne and his nephew Nicholas Grimshaw on trust to permit the testator's wife Ursula Cooper and her assigns to have the use of all money then out on security etc for her life - his wife, and the trustees to be executors. They proved the will in the Prerogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury.
Ursula Cooper and Nicholas Grimshaw are dead. The £700 was paid by Stanier to Corner 12 January last
Consideration: £700 advanced by Thornes.
