Description

With separate Index Book. Note on fly-leaf states 'Lewis v. Lewis. This is the Minute Book marked A ... in affidavit of Eustace Anderson ... 11 January 1871' (In Chancery).

p.2 17 July 1851 cleaning of picture given by Mr Vandergutch.

p.3 14 Aug 1851 report of committee to select new organist, 23 candidates offered, 7 were called and each played for ¼ hour.

p.16 (insert) 1 July 1852 memorial to the Metropolitan Commissioners of sewers concerning sewerage from Richmond.

p.40 2 Feb 1854 Report of Drainage committee.

p.45 30 Mar 1854 plan to form a Fire Brigade.

p.48 Report of Mortlake Charities Committee.

Report of Church Improvements Committee: £599. 10s. 10½d. spent on warming and ventilating the church, gas lighting, stained glass window at East End, stonework, pannelling etc.

p.50 22 May 1854 Report of the Burial Committee: land in Priest Bridge Field.

p.71 28 Mar 1855 Report of Committee on Parish Records: a digest of papers to be prepared and entered in a book with Index. [This book is preserved at the Church.] 'The original chest was probably made in the time of Henry VIII and possesses a key of exquisite workmanship'.

p.102 25 Mar 1856: amendment that no organist be appointed by the Vestry but that the 'Office and the Salary connected with it be left in the hands of Members of the Established Church'. not carried.
