20 horse power side lever boat engine for land, with 26¾ inch cylinder, 2½ foot stroke.Reverse plan of the engine house and boiler and shaft, side view of the engine and cross-section of the boiler, longitudinal section of the boiler. All the drawings bear letter codes.
Original Portfolio or 'Book' No. 786. Catalogue of Old Engines p. 204.
For Edward & Thomas Neale & Co. Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire. Also frequently spelt "Edward & Thomas Neal & Co." The firm also bought a 50 horse boat engine in 1825 [see Portfolio 5/1036].
