RCP-LEGAC/2411/47. Copy of letter from Charles Frederick Rideal to Henry Pitman enclosing newspaper account of inquest at Waddeson on Frances Emma Holland and questioning Mr. Keene's true position as far as the title "Dr" and the R.C.P. were concerned. 9 Jan. 1882.

RCP-LEGAC/2411/48. Henry Pitman. Manuscript letter to Frederick Keene, stating his attention had been drawn to a cutting from the Bucks Advertiser and Aylesbury News in which he styled himself "Dr", and enclosing copy of Resolution passed by the College, from which he would see he was not authorised to use the title. 10 Jan. 1882.

RCP-LEGAC/2411/49. Resolution passed at General Meeting of the College 10 April 1876 stating that title of M D could only be used where a Medical Degree from an University recognised by the R.C.P. had been obtained. (Printed).

RCP-LEGAC/2411/50. Henry Pitman. Manuscript letter to Charles Henry Rideal stating that he had written to Mr. Keene and sent him Resolution re proper use of title "Dr.", and pointed out to him that he was not authorised to use the title. 10 Jan. 1882.

RCP-LEGAC/2411/51. Frederick Keene. Manuscript letter to Dr. Pitman stating he had never represented himself as a Doctor of Medicine or used the initials M.D. and enclosing one of his bill heads. 13 Jan. 1882.
