Deeds relating to the Somerset, Devon and Dorset Poulett manors collectively, 1670-98(3), with Common Recoveries for the manors in the counties separately, 1749(3). Volume enfaced 'Survey Book of the m...... Henton St. George, Dinnington, Allowenshay, Lopen, Stocklinch, Chaffcombe Po[ulett] Chaffcombe Bu[ller], Marshood, Chard, Penn Domer', giving, in tabular form, tenure [e.g. 'L' for 'Lease', 'C' for 'Copy'], names of present tenants, note of lands, rents, heriots, and value, compiled c1725 with later alterations (1 vol.). Appointment to trustee (John, Earl Poulett), to convey, 1731, and Conveyance by trustee, 1743/4, of the province of Pennsylvania and the government thereof, to the use of the descendants of Wm. Penn, esq., late Proprietary and Governor of the province. Assignment affecting the manor of Cudworth, Nether Cudworth and Over Cudworth (co. York), in consideration of the marriage of the Hon. Bridget Bertie of St. Martin-in-the-Fields (co. Midx.), spinster, and John, Lord Poulett, 1702. Will of Sir William Monson of Broxbornbury (co. Herts.), bart., 1726 (proved P.C.C., 1726/7; probate copy), and deed concerning Rockingham Castle, and other properties in cos. Northampton, Leicester, and Huntingdon, affecting John, Earl Poulett, as executor of Dame Letitia Monson, widow of Sir William Monson, 1735/6, together with counsel's opinion on title of property in Lincs. and Yorks., 1694/5, a rental of the Earl of Rockingham's estate in Warmington and Wilbarston (co. Northants.), 1734 (1 fscp.sheet), and a letter from the Earl of Rockingham to Earl Poulett, 1735/6. Assignment of property in Edmondthorpe (co. Leics.), to which Anne Poulet of St. George, Hanover Square (co. Midx.), esq., is party, 1767. Assignment of legacies in consideration of the marriage of Henry Lambert of Hope End (co. Hereford) esq., and Catherine Parker of Saint James, Westminster (co. Midx.), spinster, to which Vere, Earl Poulett, is party, 1771, containing letters concerning the marriage, 1771(2). Internal original bundle labelled 'Home Tenement C', containing deeds, etc., relating mainly to properties in Woolminstone in the parish of Crewkerne, 1610-1652/3(12), 1726-37(6), including a deed in consideration of the marriage of Robert Merefield of Hinton St. George, gent., and Ann Abraham of Chard, widow, 1652/3. Deed relating to property in Woolminstone, 1720, with two papers giving survey details of 'Thornes two tenements' and 'the late Mrs. Davice's Estate', in Woolminstone, 1719/20(2). Deed concerning property in the manor of Hewish and in Rolstone, in the manors of Halberton Bois and Sampford Peverell (co. Devon), and the parishes of Knowle and Chaffcombe, 1732/3. Deed concerning Sheephouse and Lucas's Place in Chillington, 1756. Deeds concerning property in Hewish, 1765, and Holethorne in the Tithing of Combe and in Hewish, 1768, all in the parish of Crewkerne. (26 documents). [Altogether 44 documents].
