p. 220 School closed; due to state of emergency, September 1939

p. 221 "Double Shift System" operated because of the large number of evacuee children, September 1939

p. 233 School closed: No coal deliveries, February 1940

p. 306 School open throughout summer holidays on a shift system basis, because of the large number of evacuee children, July 1942

p. 320 Air raid caused damage to parts of the school, February 1943

p. 321 Parents of an old boy of the school who was killed in a road accident, presented a trophy to the school, to be awarded annually to the boy who "best plays the game", March 1943

p. 325 Note that a member of staff was killed in action, June 1943

p. 375 School closed for two days to celebrate the end of the war, May 1945

p. 390 Boy won first place in RAF apprentices examination out of 300 boys from the whole country. Half day holiday given to celebrate his achievement, January 1946
