Kingdon Ward, the famous explorer who recently returned to this country after exciting adventures in Burma and Thibet, where, after being deserted by his coolies and given up as lost in the vague hinterlands, he managed to reach Rangoon where his wife was awaiting him. From inaccessible mountain tracts that no living man has traversed he has brought home for the Natural History Museum and Kew a wide collection of plants, birds and insects which will take the experts a year to classify, but some of which are already identified as belonging to unknown species. Mr Kingdon Ward will stay in England for about six months before setting off again on further travels.
