Description

Concerns: events that passed at Powis House; the 3rd Duke's opinion that the judgement made at Hanover about the disputed point must have been formed upon what appeared to be the state of affairs in Ireland according Mr Malone and the speaker's account, not Lord Hartington's; the appointment of L. Gardiner and the need to have the post in a prudent man's hands (unlike the predecessor's).Written from London. Signed 'Devonshire'.
