Typescript
Thanks Priestley for interesting letter. In lectures "my object has been not to dogmatise on subjects of which I know little but to explain the X-ray methods of obtaining results which may be of use fo the special study of those subjects". X-ray methods eagerly followed in Germany. Ahead of Germans in interpretation but the Germans develop the technique on a large scale.
