French Empire: Ypres (Ieper, now in Belgium). (1) 9 sections, through various fronts, on a single sheet. (2) 'Plan of Ypres and Environs As Surveyed by Lieutenants White and Cooper, Royal Engineers'. Reference table to civil and military buildings on item (2). Scale: (1) 1 inch to 20 feet [1:240]; (2) 24 cm to 600 toises [1:4,845]. Compass indicator. Item (1) copied from an original drawing dated 1814; this copy by J Harwood, Cadet, April 1815. Item (2) copied from a map produced at the Royal Engineers' Office, Brussels, November 1814; this copy by H A Black, Royal Military Surveyor and Draughtsman, May 1815. Dimensions: (1) 66 cm x 142 cm; (2) 82 cm x 63 cm.
