Description

Reports Kenneth Francis Mackenzie left Grenada on 13 December 1795; states that act of legislature with regard to 'traitors &c. is undoubtedly severe, but will not I trust be found more so than was absolutely necessary, when Your Grace takes into consideration, the most unparalleld, atrocious and unprovoked Rebellion existing in this Colony: such has been the misconduct and Ingratitude of it's French inhabitants and so inimical have they ever shewn themselves to the British Government, that it is the unanimous Opinion of His Majesty's good subjects, that unless an entire deliverance from all French Connexion takes place, that the tranquility of this Colony, and its Dependance upon the Crown of Great Britain will even be precarious:...'; reports that the inhabitants of Grenada have 'furnished' 250 pioneers of African descent [enslaved persons of African descent]; reports death of Mr. McFarlane, who was recently appointed to a seat oin council; reports 'enemy' made an attack on post at Grenville.
