Stair to Carteret: the duke of Arenberg has presented a memorial [SP 87/9/114] to the states general, and he will shortly do likewise, but needs to know whether the Hanoverians and Hessians have been ordered to march. His conversation with the pensionary about the artillery, and the French sending Maillebois' army into Bohemia. De Broglie has been appointed generalissimo, and Belle-Isle ordered to Versailles. His conversations with Count [Otto Christoph von] Podewils and Count Sinzheim. Disgust in Vienna and Prague that there has been no diversion in the low countries. Dated at The Hague. ff. 239-242
