Parts of four sheets of the Ordnance Survey six-inch map of Lancashire, joined to show the Kearsley area. Added title in MS: 'Kearsley U.D.C. Proposed 275kV Overhead Transmission Line. Alternative Route - East of Bolton'. Coloured MS additions show the urban district boundary; proposed alternative route and suggested diversion; existing overhead lines; industrial areas; locations shown in photographs; and areas from which proposed alternative route would be visible. Reference table to additions. Produced by R A Seville, Engineer and Surveyor, Kearsley. Title, scale, reference table, and surveyor's name are on separate pieces of paper affixed to the map.
