Description

West Africa. Admiralty chart of the coast from Anno Bom (now Annobon, Equatorial Guinea) to Hollams Island. Insets show Mayumba Bay, Kabenda Bay, Malemba Bay, Loango Bay and Port D'llheo or Sandwich Harbour, Black Point Bay Vesuvius Shoal, St Mary Bay and Little Fish Bay. Reference table of types and numbers of cables to be used for each stage between Cadiz and San Paul de Loando. Scale: 1 inch to about 50 miles. Compass roses. Engraved by Davies, Bryer & Co. Republished at the Admiralty 18 March 1869. MS asterisk has been marked against Fort Roch Point, whose suitability as a port was assessed in a letter dated 9 September 1879.
