Description

(9) Plan of Lazzaretto Creek, as re-sounded in February and March 1900 by Lieuts Chetwynd, Shelford and Rotch, showing areas to be dredged to 12 feet and 21 feet. Reference table. Scale: 1 inch to 210 feet. Signed by L W P Chetwynd, Lieut HMS Ramillies and T L Shelford, Lieut HMS Royal Sovereign. Approved by R S Lowry, Capt HMS Ramillies. Originally enclosed in Chetwynd's letter dated 16 March 1900. Subsequently printed to illustrate Scheme B for dredging Lazzaretto Creek; (8) is a copy of the print enclosed with a report dated 20 March 1900 from T C Hunter, Superintending Civil Engineer. (11) is a tracing of the plan, with some detail omitted, signed by Chetwynd 15 March 1900 and originally enclosed in Hunter's further report dated 8 May 1900. Sheet sizes between 34 cm x 53 cm and 34 cm x 51.5 cm.
