Marlborough to St John: he has received a letter [SP 87/6/73] from Major General Seckendorff, who despairs of raising more than one regiment in Germany. Lord Raby has had a proposal for troops from an officer of the duke of Saxe-Meiningen. Marlborough encloses a letter from the officer [SP 87/6/70], another from the duke [SP 87/6/71], and his detailed reply to their conditions [SP 87/6/72]. Dated at camp at Lens. ff. 147, 148
