[113] Smyth convicted for beating one Horden, one of the clerks of the spicery to the Queen, for which committed to the Fleet close prisoner until the next term, until further order should be taken for his delivery and £100 fine. The same Smyth convicted for a misdemeanor and a disorder by him done against a constable of Rumford, and the watch of the same town in misusing and disturbing them for which offense also committed and fined at £100 and adjudged to pay to the constables £10 and £5 amongst the watchmen. See the order against Horden whereby he was ordered to lose his benefit for seeking to revenge the injury done by Smyth to him by raising of a multitude of the black guard against Smyth in Fleet Street, fo. 81 [note: folio references are to the lost Star Chamber decree and order entry books].
