Map: 'The United States of North America with the British Territories and those of Spain, Published by W Faden, Charing Cross, Geographer to His Majesty and to His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales, 1809'. Title on a rock in a wooded background with waterfall, nets and a scene of traders. Key to boundaries of British, Spanish, United States and Indian territories and to French fishing rights. Scale: 1 inch to 100 miles. Beneath is a note of the position of the St Croix River. Along the boundary between Canada and the United States is a manuscript note 'The supposed-by the Treaty of 1783'; some boundaries coloured in manuscript.
