Folios 233-234: Edward Williams, Isle of Wight. Is enclosing protection notice of William Hansford who was impressed out of the Gypsy and sent on board HMS Royal William.
Folios 235-236: enclosure with folios 233-234. Letter dated 14 July 1804 by Edward Williams. Statement advising that William Hansford was impressed into service as he was at sea before his indentures were made out as one of the crew of HMS Gypsy. He was not a passenger on board the ship as Mr. Williams had been led to believe.
Folios 237-238: enclosure with folios 233-234. Letter dated 9 July 1804 by John Alcock, Sunderland. Is enclosing indentures, protection and affidavit confirming that William Hansford was not a passenger on board the HMS Gypsy but a member of the crew.
Folios 239-240: enclosure with folios 233-234. Letter dated 11 July 1804 by William Marsden, Admiralty Office. Request for the discharge of William Hansford, an apprentice, who was impressed on board a tender at Southampton.
