Folios 192-193: Thomas Walsh. Port Captain, New Romney. Has information from Captain Eagle of the Sea Fencibles at Lydd that he has stopped Mr. J. McBride and Mr. J. Pack on their way from Dover to Hythe with a suspicious passport permitting Pack to travel from Belfast to Liverpool. Captain Eagle turned them over to the Magistrate who has detained them for examination. The passport is on the back of a letter and evidently a forgery with a French name written at the foot. Park has the appearance of being an Irish rebel.
