Folios 239-240: William Wolseley, HMS Lowestoffe, Falmouth. Reports that he is obliged to put into Falmouth, en route to Liverpool, due to the weather but has learned that France had declared war on Great Britain and, as a consequence, suggests that he takes the trade ships there under convoy around Lands End with HMS Pilote who will proceed to Waterford and HMS Resolution who will proceed to Milford Haven. Encloses a list of the vessels under convoy from Falmouth.
Folio 241: enclosure with folios 239-240. Nominal list of twelve trade vessels under convoy of HMS Lowestoffe, detailing the names of their Masters and where bound plus HMS Pilote, Henry Gunter, Lieutenant and HMS Resolution, Edward Henry Columbine, Lieutenant.
