Folios 226-227: Henry Vansittart, HMS Clarence, Off Brest. Reply to letter dated 14 February 1814 in the case of the ship Fern Brueder. He fell in with the Fern Brueder under Swedish Colours on the 6 December 1813, from Bordeaux said to be bound to Plymouth for convoy to London, with a cargo of brandy and Wine under a Licence that had aspired 7 or 8 months, which with circumstances since explained and particularly that of the Master, Mates and Crew having been embarked only a short time. [Total of 2 half sides for the report].
Folio 228: enclosure with folios 226-227. Note:- This is to certify that as Prize Master of the Swedish ship Fern Broader?detained by HMS Clarence was captured on the morning of the 12 December 1813 by the [?] French Privateers delivered up all the papers belonging to the said ship that were entrusted under my charge to the Master of the said ship in the same condition as they were received.
