Description

Folio 193: Document from Paper Office recording receipt of a letter from Captain Lord Townsend of HMS Aeolus. The desertion of Joseph Warburton, alias James Parker, with an American merchant vessel detained by HMS Swiftsure. A court martial is ordered.

Folio 194: enclosed with folio 193. Document from the Paper Office recording receipt of a letter from Captain Lord Townshend reporting that James Parker was one of the crew of an American frigate Chesapeake but is recognised as Joseph Warburton from HMS Aeolus.

Folio 195: enclosed with folio 193. Document from the Record Office noting the a letter from Lord Townshend was sent to Mr [?] .
