Folios 118-119: John Stiles, Alcmene, Spithead. Arrived with HMS Sophie. HMS Raven sailed with them from The Downs, but has not yet arrived. Encloses a journal of proceedings since leaving Spithead, a monthly account and [an account] of the troops carried to and from Jersey. He mentions that the 70th Regiment had 150 more persons than were mentioned in the orders, making 300 total persons on board.
Folios 120-121: enclosure with folios 118-119. Document dated 19 October 1802, by Captain John Stiles to the Admiralty. A completed disembarkation return of HM's 70th Surrey Regiment of Foot, commanded by General John, Earl of Suffolk. Includes Ranks and numbers of officers, non commissioned officers, drummers, private soldiers, women and children.
Folio 122-123: enclosure with folios 118-119. Document dated October 1802 by Captain John Stiles, Jersey, to the Admiralty. A completed disembarkation return of HM's 3rd Regiment of Foot (The Buffs) on board HMS Alcmene, La Sophie and The Raven. Showing ranks and numbers of the military and 27 women and 25 children.
