Folios 193-194: Alex Scott, [Regulating Officer?], Dornoch. Reports his arrival. He has applied to Mr McCoulock, the Deputy Sheriff and Chief Residing Magistrate, who informs him that the meeting of Justices will be convened on 12 June and not before. Captain Scott will therefore proceed to Wick, as he has been informed that the Justices of Caithness will meet on 5 June and he wishes to waste no time. He would not have sent a report bearing so little information, but the Postmaster has reported that he returned a letter from The Admiralty, to be sent to Dornoch. Requests a copy of that letter, to be sent to Dornoch.
