Description

Folio: 345v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: William, son of Humphrey de Manneby [Manby].

Second party: Peter, son of Odo Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Four acres of meadow with appurtenances and liberties lying in the territory of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby] in the south meadows in a place called Cirnedayle between the land of Master Robert de Milay of Retheby [Raithby] on the west side and William's meadow on the east side, whose limits abut towards the south upon le Hadic and towards the north upon the meadow of the abbot and convent of Parco Lude [Louth Park]. And one selion of arable land with appurtenances lying in the territory of Little Carletona [Little Carlton] on the south side of the vill between the land of John de Cormayles on the east side and the land of William Vitefde on the west side, and it abuts towards the south upon the land of John de Carletona [Carlton] and towards the north upon the land of William the shepherd. For a certain sum of money which Peter gave to William in advance. To hold to Peter and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
