Description

Folios: 317v-318. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter D. Grant.

First party: Hugh, son of Robert de Legreste of Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Philip Gall of the same vill.

Place or subject: A third part of the whole croft called Futurcroft lying between the land once of Odo Galle on the west side and the land of Robert Pheheriche on the east side. Hugh also quitclaimed tto Philip and his heirs the whole land which Hugh had in that croft from the gift of Philip's father and of Andrew, his brother, with appurtenances without any reservation, the sides of which abut towards the north upon Legreste and towards the south upon Saltergate, namely the whole land with appurtenances and easements. For five marks which Philip gave to Hugh in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely and quietly in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to the lord of the fee 9d at the four terms appointed in the soke for all services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
