Folios 300-301: James Robert Mosse, HMS Braakel, Yarmouth Roads. Has asked Lieutenant Samuel Graves to explain his reasons for not joining HMS Braakel sooner. Graved joined the ship on 19 December 1797.
Folios 302-303: enclosure with folios 300-301. Letter dated 21 December 1797 by Samuel Graves to Mosse. Explains at the time of his appointment he was in Haslar hospital not being in perfect health and subsequently was advised by Physcians to go into the Country for the benefit of the air.
