Description

Folios 238-239: William Bligh, Sydney, New South Wales. HMS Supply has been used as a hulk, following the order from Governor [Phillip Gidley] King, she is now rotten and needs to be broken up, with the iron and copper delivered into Government stores.

Folios 239-240: Enclosure in folios 238-239. William Bligh, Governor-in-Chief, New South Wales and Captain HMS Porpoise to Captain Joseph Short and Benjamin Bannister, Carpenter, HMS Porpoise, John Houston, 2nd Commander and Roger Best, Carpenter, HMS Buffalo and Thomas Moore, Master Builder. Order to take a survey of HMS Supply.

Folios 241-242: Enclosure in folios 238-239. Phillip Gidley King, Sydney to Governor William Bligh. Regarding taking a survey on HMS Supply, condemned by survey in 1799.

Folios 242-243: Enclosure in folios 238-239. Thomas Moore, Master Builder to Governor William Bligh. Reports that HMS Supply, condemned in 1797 is now so rotten that she needs to be broken up.

Folio 244: Enclosure in folios 238-239. Duplicate of folios 241-242.

Folio 245: blank.
