Name: G Winter.

Occupation: Lamp boy.

Place of accident: Cowbridge Road Signal Cabin, Glamorgan.

Injury: Thumb bruised.

Details of accident: The 8/5 am Passenger train was approaching this cabin and Winter endeavoured to open the sliding window to enable the signalman to signal this train but he failed, and the latter proceeded to do so himself when the thumb of Winter's left hand was caught between the framework of the window.
