Captured ship: De Jonck Vrauwe Marij of Ostend (master Joseph Weytens).
History: a Flemish merchant ship under the colours of the Queen of Hungary (26 tons, 4 men and a Frecnh pilot to take them into Cherbourg), bound from Ostend to Cherbourg, laden with pitch, tar, flax and deals; taken on 26 June 1757 off Cherbourg by the privateer Malpas of Alderney (Thomas Meade commanding), and brought into Alderney.
