3391. John Robinson to Clinton. A letter from the Whitehall Treasury Chambers regarding letters dated 5 July 1779 and August 1780, requesting the appointment of an Inspector and Proofer of Rum. As they were unaquainted with the role, were unable to form an opinion as to it, so, have allowed judgement on person, and reasonable salary for job.
