Extract from 'Model Engineer', February 1957. ' Locomotives I Have Known, Number 26 by J N Maskelyne. South Eastern and Chatham Railway ex-South Eastern Railway Stirling F-class 4-4-0 No198'. Reminicences by Maskelyne of his time in 1919 when working at Cannon Street locomotive shed during the 1919 rail strike to keep locomotives in steam. There is a general arrangement line drawing of No 198 and attached to the front is a title sheet.
