To: Thomas Thornton, Clerk to the Local Board of Health, Bishop Auckland [Durham].
From: The General Board of Health.
Draft letter acknowledging receipt of a letter dated 29 November 1855 and the enclosed plans and estimates relating to the proposed drainage and water supply of the Bishop Auckland district. It is stated in reply that Mr Ranger, Superintending Inspector, will attend at Bishop Auckland on next Wednesday morning for the purpose of examining the proposed schemes of drainage and water supply for that district.
