First Act obtained 28th March 1793 (33 Geo III, cap.97) forming "Gloucester and Berkeley Canal Company". Practically re-constituted in 1870. Became merged into Sharpness New Docks and Gloucester and Birmingham Navigation which was incorporated by that name in 1874.
