Folios 191-192: John Clements, HMS Spitfire, Spithead. Encloses a copy letter from Mr Vass, Master House Carpenter, who accompanied him in erecting signal stations on the coast.
Folios 193-194: enclosure with folios 191-192. Copy letter dated 11 August 1794 by Nicholas Vass, Portsmouth Dockyard, to Captain Clements, HMS Spitfire. He has received several letters from people with whom he agreed to build the signal stations informing him they are now complete and ready for inspection. Awaits orders as to how to proceed.
