Folios 380-381: William Bligh, HMS Porpoise, Derwent river, Van Dieman's land. Concerning the merchant ship Dubuck which was condemned, it was reported that this was done illegally and unjustly so he had a survey undertaken. Is sending the report of this survey which proves the ship should not have been condemned but sent to Sydney.
Folios 381-382: enclosure with folios 380-381. Letter dated 8 May 1809 by Jno. Lacey and R. Best, Master Carpenters, HMS Porpoise, River Derwent, Van Dieman's Land. Detailed report of the survey taken on the merchant ship Dubuck, findings indicate that it should not have been condemned.
