Folios 159-160: William Robert Broughton, HMS Penelope, Yarmouth Roads. As commanded has discharged Archibald Rogers and John Cousins who were improperly pressed by Lieutenant Milne of HMS Penelope. He enclose his reasons for impressing them he sent him. Has no proof of any other men being regularly protected or apprentice regularly indentured but if they are he will discharge them. He has also discharged Johan Petie as he appears to be a subject of Denmark, is not married or settled in England or received the Kings Bounty. Enclose the weekly account for HM Ships under his command and also HMS Mariner and HMS Bold, Gun Brigs. States Mr Hadley's Cutter has not yet appeared to convey the men to the Nore. States HMS Badger returned yesterday with 1 man and HMS Mallard, Gun Brig sailed.

Statement about the impressment of two men on 10 April 1803 off Cromer from the fishing vessels Sally and Betsy, John Cousins and Archibald Rogers who's descriptions did not agree with the Admiralty protections.
Folio 161: enclosure with folios 159-160. Letter dated 13 April 1803 by C Gallaway, to Evan Nepean. Request to discharge Thomas Staniland, apprentice to George Patrick impressed on the 31 March 1803 onto HMS Penelope.
Folio 162: enclosure with folios 159-160. Affidavit of George Patrick Master of the George & Mary of the Port of Hull that Thomas Staniland his apprentice, indentures dated 26 October 1800. Signed before Mr Broadley, Justice of the Peace, Union Hall, Hull.
