Folios 192-193: Duncombe Pleydell Bouverie, HMS Mercury, Longreach. He writes about four impressed men previously written about by Mr Smith. The four men are Thomas Hobbs, William Weatherill, William Kemp and Alexander Dewer. He explains that the reasons by which they were discharged, despite all of them being seamen. Other men impressed included Thomas Hurr, a George Nisbet (later spelled Nesbitt) and two men called Webster and Panton. They were all clearly adults and not apprentices nor protected in any way.
Folio 193: enclosure to folios 192-193. Note dated 20 May 1803. He lists those men impressed and those that were discharged and those not. The men named are: J Shrewsbury, W Bourne, L Darby, O Edward, T Hobbs, J Weatherill, W Hemp, T Hurr, G Nesbitt, W Webster, J Panton.
Folio 194: enclosure to folios 192-193. Letter dated 25 May 1803 by Thomas Blakiston. Asks that the Admiralty consider the enclosed document.
Folios 195-196: enclosure to folios 192-193. Letter dated 30 May 1803 by Thomas Blakiston. He encloses an indenture in relation to a boy who has been impressed and is now on board HMS Mercury. The boy worked in the Coal Trade and he asks for his discharge.
Folios 197-198: enclosure to folios 192-193. Letter dated 24 May 1803 by Dubois Smith, Barnards Yard to Evan Nepean. Reports that the Lively Revenue Cutter under his command is under repair at Deptford. He provides a list of men with their descriptions who have been pressed onto onto HMS Mercury not having protections, namely: John Shrewsbury, William Bourne, Lynch Darby, Charles Edward.
Folio 198: enclosure to folios 192-193. A petition from Peter Dunkerly, London, dated 20 May 1803. He is a cooper with the East India Company and hasd secured Protections from the Admiralty for twenty men yet Thomas Hobbs, one of his workers has been impressed whilst he was coming ashore after being aboard the East Indiaman The Arniston. He asks for his discharge.
Folio 199: enclosure to folios 192-193. A petition dated 24 May 1803 on behalf of John Weatherill aged 68 who was impressed at Greenwich and taken on board HMS Mercury at Deptford despite having a certificate of protection, which he says he encloses [it is not enclosed]. He asks for a discharge.
Folio 200: enclosure to folios 192-193. Sworn Statement of Alexander Dewer of Sunderland, master of The Betty dated 24 May 1803. He states he delivered the Indenture of his apprentice William Kemp to his Agent in order to obtain a Protection for him. In the interim the apprentice was impressed and taken on board HMS Mercury. The Protection certificate has now been given to Captain Pleydall Bouverie of that ship but he refuses to discharge the apprentice.
Folios 201-202: enclosure to folios 192-193. A letter dated 28 May 1803 by Thomas Blakeston to William Marsdon, Admiralty. Asks for enclosed papers to be put before the Board of Admiralty.
Folio 202: enclosure to folios 192-193. Letter dated 24 May 1803 by J Norman, London. He writes about William Hurr, mate on The Betty. Who has been impressed and is on board HMS Mercury. He encloses an affidavit from The master of the ship stating he was truly the Mate and asks for his discharge. (Affidavit not enclosed.)
Folio 203: enclosure to folios 192-193. Robert Jefferson's Sworn Statement. Sworn at the Public Office Shadwell dated 28 May 1803. He states that he is from South Shields in County Durham and is the master and owner of the Jenny. He is engaged in the coal trade. Whilst in Greenwich an officer from HMS Mercury came on board and impressed Georg Nesbitt an apprentice, despite his having a protection.
Folio 204: enclosure to folios 192-193. A petition of Robert Jefferson dated 23 May 1803 stating that his apprentice George Nesbitt has been impressed and taken aboard HMS Mercury despite having a protection granted to him.

Folio 206: enclosure to folios 192-193. Letter dated 24 May 1803 by John Catto, London. He writes that two of his apprentices, William Webster and John Panton have been impressed by HMS Mercury. He encloses their indentures and asks for their discharge.
