Advises that he is unable to join his ship HMS Vanguard due to ill health and has agreed with Vice Admiral Russell that an acting Captain should be appointed. Asks that he is permitted to rejoin his ship when he is healthy and asks whether it is necessary to apply for a renewal of leave when his current period of leave expires.
