I By Court Rolls of 23 July 1877 (Book 3 Page 137) it appears that Henry Lefevre RYDER a Lieutenant on H.M.S. "Euphrates" was admitted tenant as one of 2 sons and coheirs of the Rev. Henry Dudley RYDER formerly Canon Residentiary of Lichfield

II To one half of the properties shown in the plan in the Court Rolls Book 3 p.152. and of all the other properties of which Henry Dudley RYDER was tenant

And Francis RYDER is admitted.

This is the exhibit marked 'C' referred to on the affidavit of Ralph Burch sworn in this matter this 11th day of December 1885.

Now before the Steward appears

Frances Elizabeth RYDER of 14 Southwick Street, Hyde Park, widow of the said Harry Lefevre RYDER (by her Attorney Louis Thompson ROWE, 29 Spring Gardens, Middx. Gent.) and produces probate dated 14 Dec. 1880 for Will of 17 Sept. 1873 bearing words:

"... last Will and Testament of me Harry Lefevre RYDER of H.M.S. "Britannia" ... Lieutenant ... Esq. I ... bequeath All [my] real and personal estate ... unto my Wife Frances Elizabeth RYDER absolutely".

And Frances Elizabeth RYDER seeks admission to all the properties [as in II above] which properties or part thereof are now known by the following description ...

"All that messuage or tenement situate on the east side of Mare St. formerly called Church Street ... abutting towards the north on Hackney Church Yard and now called No.352 Mare Street with shops outhouse and outbuildings .. now in the occupation of William Thomas DENNIS. And also all that messuage or tenement adjoining the said last mentioned messuage on the east and being on the south side of Hackney Church Yard and known as No.1 Church Path or Church Lane now also in the occupation of the said William Thomas DENNIS ... [both] under a lease ... of twenty one years ... from 25 March 1876" at £105 p.a.

And

2 messuages on the East side of Church Street numbered 350 and 348 adjoining south on the first-described messuage and Bohemia Place, now in the occupation of - BARKER and - TRIPP, held under a lease granted to William LAWES for 21 years from 25 Dec. 1860 at £75 p.a.

346 Mare Street, abutting North on Bohemia Place, in the occupation of Charles James FOX

And

Two tenements on the South side of Bohemia Place, known as Nos. 1 and 2, adjoining East on the last-mentioned messuage. In the occupation of Charles James FOX, both messuages [i.e. also 346 Mare Street] on a 21 year lease from 25 Dec. 1860 at £70 p.a.

And

On the east side of Mare Street, south of the last-described messuage, No. 344, in the occupation of John Buckle BRODRIBB, Chemistand Druggist, on a 21 year lease from 25 Dec. 1878 at £60 p.a.

And

East side, south of [No. 344], No. 342, in the occupation of Charles MILLER, Coal Merchant on a 21 year lease from 25 Dec. 1878 at £70 p.a.

And

A piece of land on the south side of [No. 342] and "subject to the right of way granted to the North London Railway Co. over the same".

And

12 cottages on the south side of Bohemia Place, Nos. 3-14, held by Messrs. TEMPLE and MOORE on a 21 year lease from 25 Dec. 1860 at £90 p.a., and all the other land and hereditaments comprised in the said Lease not conveyed to the North London Railway Co.

And

2 cottages in Bohemia Place Nos. 15 & 16

And

9 cottages on the south side of Hackney Churchyard, Nos. 2-10 Church Path or Church Place, Nos. 3-10 with Nos. 15 & 16 Bohemia Place held by William LAWES on a 21 year lease from 25 Dec. 1860 at £75 p.a.

And

The messuage or dwelling-house called Church Field House on (the south side of Hackney Church Yard lately held by William LAWES - as a yearly tenant at £35 p.a.

All which messuages etc. lie together and are bounded as follows:

On the North and East by Hackney Church Yard.

On the South by land belonging to the North London Railway Co.

On the West by Mare Street.

And

All such parts of the twelve messuages on the North side of Chalgrove Road, Morning Lane, Nos. 40-62 (even) abutting North on the North London Railway Co.
