John Smith for £5 7s. (3s. had been abated): 1½ quarters of rye grass at £1. 4s. per quarter, £1. 16s.; 1 cwt., 3 score and 16 1bs. of clover seed at £2. 4s. per cwt., £3. 14s.; on other side - ditto for £5. 2s. 9d.: 6 bags of beans at 9s. 3d. per bag. £2. 15s. 6d.; 3 bags of vetches (feetches) at 12s. per bag, £1. 16s.; levy for Bryere Land 11s. 3d. The cover is endorsed May (sic) the 2nd 1768 - paid the churchwarden of Snitfield and Mr. Smith for grass seed; it is written on a notice sent out by Geo. Beauchamp, clerk, for a meeting of the trustees of the Shipston and Banbury Roads to be held at the White Lyon at Stratford on Thursday, 21 April 1768.
