25th and 26th September, 1744

1. Susannah Cherrington widow, one of the sister and co-heirs of John Cole the younger esq then decd, John Jones gentleman, only son and heir of John Jones gentleman decd and Sarah his wife decd, another sister; William Pickering the younger toysmith, eldest son and heir of William Pickering the elder and of Eleanor his wife decd, another sister; Samuel Cheeke hatter and Elizabeth his wife another sister; Jane Cole spinster another sister; William Billingsley and Margaret his wife another sister;

Recital of articles of agreement of 12th June last (a) Jane Cole, John Jones, Susannah Cherrington, Samuel Cheeke and Elizabeth his wife, William Billingsley and Margaret his wife, William Pickering (heirs at law of John Cole decd)

Agreement that the premises should be divided into 6 equal parts by 2 indifferent persons and choice of Thomas Billingsley and Thomas Bell gentleman. The shares should then be drawn for.

Consideration: this agreement and 5s apiece

Conveyance to Sandford for purposes of levying fine on inter alia, messuage in Yeaton (John Scott) to use of such persons as Samuel Cheeke and Elizabeth his wife should appoint, in default to their use for lives, remainder to use of heirs of the body of Elizabeth by Samuel, remainder to use of her right heirs

Fine Hilary term 18 Geo II 1744 Humphrey Sandford esq plt, Susannah Cherrington, John Jones, William Pickering the younger, Samuel Cheeke and Elizabeth his wife, Jane Cole and William Billingsley and Margaret his wife deforciants, of 22 messuages, 3 water corn mills, 10 gardens, 600 acres land, 200 acres meadow, 300 acres pasture, 10 acres wood, 200 acres furze and heath, 10 acres water 63/8 rent; and moiety of 12 acres meadow, and common of pasture; in Yeaton, Yagdon, Oldwood, Fitz, Forton, Upper Rossale, Shelton and Oxon, Frankwell, Castle Foregate, Coleham, Brace Meole, and Shrewsbury, and the parishes of Baschurch, Fitz, Mountford, St. Chad's, St. Julians, St. Aulkmond, St, Mary and Brace Meole.

No appointment made by Samuel Cheeke and his wife during their lives. Samuel Cheeke survived his wife and upon his decease the Yeaton estate became vested in Mary Morris his only child She died September, 1815 without having levied a fine or suffered a recovery. The estate then descended to Samuel Cheeke Morris as her grandson, her son Thomas his father being dead.

Lease and release of a messuage, garden, croft, 2 small messuages, barns stables etc; inclosures called The Heath Croft, the Upper Little Field, The Lower Little Field or Meadow, the Big Common piece, the Yagdons or Mote Meadow, the Rough, the Woody Yagdons, the Springy Yagdons, the Banky Yagdons, the Rough Yagdons, the Yagdons Meadow, and the Smooth Yagdons - in all 109a 1r 33p; 2 inclosures called the Little Field and the Yelds (14a 3r 23p); inclosures called the Upper Mill Field, the Lower Mill Field, The Big Dale Field, the Little Dale Field the New Leasow, the second New Leasow, the 3rd 4th, 5th and 6th New Leasows (58a 3r 4p); inclosure called the Little Common field (4a 2r); the Heath Croft (7a), all in Yeaton and Baschurch in the parish of Baschurch - total 194a 2r 20p (late Samuel Venables, now John Bellis, John Williams, John Beech, John Brayne, John Pinches and Samuel Venables); to use of Rosser and assigns for lives of Samuel Cheeke Morris and himself to the intent that he might be tenant of the freehold for the recovery, to enure to use of Samuel Cheeke Morris his heirs and assigns Hilary 26 Geo III Exemplification of recovery on 7 messuages, 3 barns, 6 stables, 3 cowhouses, 3 gardens, 2 orchards, 100 acres land, 100 acres meadow, 100 acres pasture and common of pasture in Baschurch and Yeaton in the parishes of Baschurch and 3t. Chads, Shrewsbury.

5th February, 1816

1. Robert Meek of Mountford Place, Kensington co Surrey gent and Elizabeth his wife

2. Samuel Cheeke Morris Elizabeth wife of Robert Meeke had lately been in possession of rents from premises in Yeaton and Baschurch and the parish of St. Chad Shrewsbury which of right belonged to Samuel Cheeke Morris her son by her former husband; and Robert Meek being satisfied that she had no right to them had agreed to relinquish possession

To lessen the inconvenience to her of a reduced income, and from natural affection Morris had made a Voluntary agreement to pay her for her life £110 p.a.

Consideration: Bond to pay this.

Quitclaim by Meek and his wife of all right to the property.

8th March, 1816

2. Samuel Yates of Drayton in Hales gentleman Recital of 23rd and 24th January last and recovery.

Cons: extinguishing all dower of Sarah Morris and settling the property Conveyance to Yates of the same property to use such person or persons and upon such trusts as Morris should appoint, in default to his use for his life, after to use of Yates upon trust for Morris' sole benefit and to bar dower of any present or future wife and to the use of Morris for ever.

Covenant that Morris and his wife should levy a fine

Some marginal objections and answers; with opinion accepting the title as a whole by W. Griffiths, Salop, 4th October, 1819 (if copies of the registers can be produced to prove births and deaths) on behalf of the purchaser, Mr. Muckleston
