Wm. Paling for £4. 19s. 3½d.: Felling wood at Strelley plus £1. 15s. for son's wages working 14 weeks. Note that Mr. Sheldon paid Wm. Paling 3 guineas and Mr. Evetts 1 guinea for felling poles and mending fences. Also account of Spring Wood - cutting for Thos. Edge. Strong poles, hop poles, stakes, etc.
