"Sgt Inwood joined the colours, for the duration, after having been discharged from the Rifle Brigade. He has been employed in the Sgts Mess and looking after recruiits. He is too old to carry out a Sgts ordinary duty being 62 yrs of age and it is in this account that he is being discharged. He is honest and faithful. His attestation papers show his age as 55".
