Conveyance by lease and release from John Brayne of St. Martin's, Worcester, clockmaker, grandson and heir of William Brayne late of Stoulton, co. Worcs., yeoman, deceased, to Thomas Cookes of Billesley, gentleman, for £300, of a moiety of a messuage in Snitterfield in the tenures of Richard Savery and John Evans, and diverse lands (specified); which premises lately belonged to William Webbe and descended to his four daughters [sic or rather sisters] and were partitioned by deed of 21 April 1669 (no. 95) whereby half the said messuage and the above lands were allotted to William Bateman who sold them to William Brayne the grandfather. [nos. 97-98]
