'Annals of Botany Correspondence 1899 Jan & Feb'

Correspondence sent between members of the Annals of Botany committee in January and February 1899, including founding members: Sydney Harold Vines; Dukinfield Henry Scott; Isaac Bayley Balfour; Frederick Orpen Bower; Francis Darwin; William Thiselton-Dyer; and Henry Marshall Ward. The letters mainly concern the 1899 crisis which threatened the future of the ANNALS OF BOTANY, following a dispute between Vines and Dyer which resulted in the resignation of Vines as co-editor of the journal in February 1899.
