This report is a continuation of the report dated 3 December 1952. 1 General development (a) Engines: As reports No.177 & 178. (b) Gear boxes: As reports Nos.177 & 178. (c) New cars: See reports Nos. 177 & 178. (d) Tooling: The increase in costs has not yet been resolved. 3 Miscellaneous development: (e) Mr Cutle wrote to me on the 27 November, setting out the latest views on Girling disc brakes. Prototypes are being prepared and these should be available not later than the end of January 1953. 4 Production: (b) Today there are 44 Hurricanes, 121 4-light Whitleys, 108 6-light Whitleys, and 30 Station Coupes yet to be delivered, and of this total of 303 cars (80 of which are at agents SOR), 261 being completely built and 42 are yet to be built
